Three Wishes: An Architectural Wedding Photography Editorial at The Ebell of Los Angeles

There is something deeply magical about spending a morning tucked away inside a space as historic as The Ebell of Los Angeles. Built in 1927, the Italian Renaissance architecture has this beautiful, wrapping natural light that makes you want to slow down and just create. The venue was the perfect location for the magazine cover for MALVIE Magazine.

Initially conceived under the working title Bloom, this project evolved into Three Wishes, a soft, fashion forward bridal narrative that revolves around texture, movement, and exceptional couture tailoring. Our objective was to transcend conventional wedding templates and craft a truly authentic, contemporary, and vibrant experience.

Look One: Alijah in Sareh Nouri’s 'Euphoria' in The Ebell of Los Angeles Dining Room Ballroom
Our story began in the soft glow of the dining room ballroom’s windows, with Alijah Hall from The Dragonfly Agency. She wore Euphoria, a Spring 2025 gown sourced from our friends at En Blanc Santa Monica. The clean, straight-edge neckline and meticulous seamwork of the heavy silk looked so beautiful from the morning sunlight.
Our florist, Masha at Fiore Designs, created the most delicate, gestural bouquet that felt like an organic extension of the gown itself, while the NV Glam Team executed a beautifully soft, timeless bridal look that paired perfectly with the morning light.
Look Two: Megan in 'Maryanne'
Next, we moved to the grand staircase, which is famously featured in Gilmore Girls. Megan Short from One Management transformed the space in Maryanne, a Fall 2025 Sareh Nouri piece adorned with the most spectacular, structural drape.
Our wardrobe stylist, Jaden Burnett, paired this look with avant-garde jewelry from Hanying Jewellery, which we pulled from the & Public Relations Showroom. For these frames, I used a sharp, editorial flash with my AD400. This technique gave the timeless architectural space a crisp, high-fashion edge, reminiscent of a classic print campaign.
Look Three: Ginger in 'Adelaide'
We closed the day with Ginger from Margaux the Agency, who wore Adelaide. This look was all about pure luxury minimalism. The structural simplicity of the gown allowed the iconic geometry of the Ebell of Los Angeles grand staircase and the effortless movement of the silk to take center stage. It felt incredibly calm, intentional, and cinematic.
It was such a joy to bring this vision to life alongside a team of vendors I deeply respect. Three Wishes was recently selected for an exclusive feature publication in the pages of MALVIE French Magazine, and I am so incredibly grateful to everyone who lent their hands and hearts to this story.
For couples planning their celebrations across Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, I hope this serves as a little inspiration for how your wedding photography can hold the weight and drama of an editorial, while feeling completely like you.
